PRACTICE: 3 HOUR ENDURANCE Oulton Park

The things we have to do to get practice…so I’m not old enough to book on a track day, you have to be 18 to ride at MSVR tracks (Brands/Snetterton/Oulton, Donington etc. basically all the tracks I race at!) or at 16 you can with special dispensation from the ACU. Despite the fact that I ride at BSB at those tracks and probably have got more experience and racecraft than the average track day Joe.

So I’ve never ridden at Oulton Park and Round 7 of Junior Supersport is coming up so I need to get some practice somehow…well thanks to No Limits Racing we were able to book a team of 4 riders into the the No Limits Racing NLR 3 hour Endurance Race held at Oulton Park, so we could all get some important practice before the next BSB round.

3 hours of racing split between 4 Junior Supersport riders: Team JSSP #271 consisting of Callum Beach, Ted Wilkinson, Jack Kirsch and yours truly. And you know what…we did alright…unfazed by being the only 400 team riding against mostly 600 and 1000cc bikes., being the youngest riders, we finished 25th out of 38 entries!! 28th at the end of the race but promoted 3 places after penalties.

All my team mates rode amazingly well, most importantly keeping it shiny side up and bringing the transponder in each turn. The weather was spanking too.

Special thanks to Toni at No limits for putting up with us and all the competitors who took part and excellent safe riding by all. Thanks to Bonnie Lane for the track photos of Jack and I.
